We came across this bank barn over the weekend. It's a barn style that is particular to Pennsylvania and I love seeing them around. I'm a bit under the weather this week (I caught T's cold) so posts will probably be short and sweet.
Lovely picture! I know how you are feeling, I came down with it last Tuesday and I am still not feeling all that great yet! I had to come home early today!
Bank barns have one side banked (built up) so you can drive up to the second floor to store hay. They have a stone foundation which is essentially the bottom level of the barn and are wood or brick above. Most of the ones I've seen have a trap door where you can throw hay down from the hay loft. Very cool and efficient design.

How inconsiderate of me, I sure hope you feel better soon!
I don't know what a bank barn is named after, but it sure is pretty. And red barns are my favorite. I love what you did with the photo, too.
Feel better soon!
