I don't know if they are cutting grass but it looks like an awful lot of work!
At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon! ( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well ) http://www.amazon.com/Lifes-Journey-1-Carmen-Henesy/dp/1451547366/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274652997&sr=1-1
It definitely looked like the driver was napping. The horses have probably plowed that field so often that they could practically do it themselves. He's not cutting the grass, he's plowing a plot of land between the alfalfa and the newly planted corn.
Carolyn, sometimes I think we need to go back to basics to but I would definitely miss some modern conveniences.

Good one!
I know he (the driver) is looking at where he is going but the heads down pose makes it look like he is napping!
I love to be able to watch the Amish use the horses for field work. Good one!

So cool. Love to see fields plowed the old way.

Love it. I long to go back to the simpler ways. Although, I would also dearly miss many of the modern conveniences. Maybe I'll go for a mixture.
Thanks!
