Sad Day

Yesterday afternoon I got a call from the mother of the girl who owns Maccabee.  Macky came through the colic surgery ok but developed a complication and was not getting any better.  In fact he was getting worse and stopped eating.  They made the very difficult decision to end his suffering.  I am so very sad at his loss and his teenage owner is really torn up.

This his how I will remember him - full of himself

Always wondering what you were doing

He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 11/3/2011 and was lucky enough to be loved by 2 teenaged girls in the last year of his life

Maccabee G, may you run and buck in green fields forever.  Rest in peace, buddy.

So sad...

Its evident from the photos he was a beautiful animal and had a wonderful personality.

I hope the teens can understand - life and death is an unending cycle and there seems to be a pain for every joy.
